I need everyones opioin on my situation. Theres a guy down the road whos caling me out. He has a 87 camaro that has a 350 small block in it. All hes done to it is a edelbrock intake man. and carb. My car is a 86.5 n/a 5 speed. My mods are just a custom 2.25 inch cat back exhaust. So, do i have a chance against a camaro? But first i have to finish welding the subframe.(prev owner) lastly, he was even talking about running for pinks.(stupid idea) thanx, shelby

Can't see much chance beating him in a NA.

He'll have at least 100 hp on you and probably a bit lighter!

As pitiful as the IROC's are, you wont win. You car is heavier with a much smaller engine. But you have a much nicer car. So dont sweat Gweedo.

:sighs:(oh well) hes doing a motor swap from a efi 4.3 to a carb. 5.7, so i said (then ill have to swap to a gte.) now he isnt saying much. The funny part is that the guy bought the motor from a 16yr old kid and dont know if its good! His car is in pieces and yet he makes rude commets on the supee! Thanx for imformitive discussion! Shelby

With dry shots you are probably correct, but wet shots are a whole different ball game.

Quit antagonizing the Camaro driver. Like IJ said, he probably has 100hp, two more cylinders and a crap load more torque than you do to haul that piece of Detroit iron down the road. Just because he drives a Camaro, and you drive a Supra doesn’t automatically make you faster than him. The fact that he is running his mouth like he is, may annoy the hell out of you, but like it or not right now he is right.
