So i have a 86.5 i have rebuild the 7mge from the bearings up at our family's shop mentored by an older re builder. its been running for about 1600 miles now and recently i have noticed one major concern. one night while i was idling waiting for a friend, i saw him and figured id give the throttle a stab to get his attention. Right while the engine was reving down i noticed white smoke out of the exhaust. right away iam thinking holy F.N shit my new head gasket.

I replaced it with a graphite from mizumo auto. an ebay store with a pretty good Rep. I also covered it in a copper Gasket spray. Then torqued them to 80 ft lbs. Its been running cherry since it first started. So i check the coolant and of course it was low, Took maybe a half gallon. Was fine for about a week then when i started her up one morning i noticed a little bit of smoke only for a few seconds. and it also took more coolant yesterday it was low again just to the fins in the rad. it would be a bummer to rip the head off again.

i dunno i was also thinking if it was possible, the only thing i haven't really replaced yet is my Cat. and its rusted so much it looks original i did not replace it because its never gave me a problem. But it might be time now. The owner before me put a new 2.5 inch pipe and a new duel tip muffler.

Any other thoughts would be Gladly accepted.
