Well, after barely getting into this community (i've owned my baby for a month now), I'm already making a 'beaten car' thread. Wow.
Basically, I'm driving home from work. It's really wet out, roads are slick, I'm taking extra caution around corners and such. Long story short, I turn a 90 degree corner at about 25 miles an hour, and there's a deer in the middle of the road. I swerve to avoid it, and my car ends up in the ditch. A 4 foot deep ditch. My dad and I were able to tow the car out without any trouble, but I'm still really depressed. It's not really driveable due to the driver side front panel being bent down, any small bump and it scrapes against the tire.
Here's pics of the damage (better ones coming in the morning). All pics are of the driver's side, it's the side that hit the ground.

This is what's left of the side mirror:

This is the damage in front of the door, it currently does not open all the way:

This is the damage done to the front panel above the tire, the main reason it's not driveable any long distance:

Last pic (for now) is of the rear panel:

Deer are terrible. I hit one with my supra last summer on my way home from summer classes going around 60. Didn't do much damage besides a bent up hood, header panel and broken headlight. You were probably better off goin straight at the sucker!

Yeah, I'm kinda wishing now that I tested the deer. Well, either that or just not have gone to Taco Bell. Had I not gone, I never would've gone to that corner.
oh well, there's what if's to every accident.

oh yeah. If my insurance doesn't give me a freebie (clean record so far), i'm borrowing as much money as it takes to make my baby right again, there's no question about that. :D

most of it looks repairable, only think im concerned about it the dent behind the door.

I can't believe everyone is buying your story of driving really slow and then dodging a deer. Maybe you were drifting around the curves and just lost control. My dad would have never believed me if I told him I was dodging a deer unless I chased it down and tied it up for him to see as well. Everybody that wrecks either blames it on a dog, a deer or another driver that was in their lane. For some reason or another I think I believe you, but next time, take the sob out and then you'll have your proof for the insurance people and the nay sayers.............good luck getting it fixed. Sounds like you have a few friends willing to help. That's half the battle right there.

well, I can see how it may be hard to believe, but highnitro is my friend there. . . he totaled his first supra by losing it around a corner, so I knew the second i bought the car not to try anything on wet pavement when there's any danger at all. Also, there's really nothing to be gained by lying to everyone here, so I'd see no point in doing it lol
Anyways, thanks for all your support. Once I start getting some work done on it I'll keep everyone updated.
