Wondering what these mk3 turbos run at the track. 1/4 mile. I don't see any around, so... have no idea. Wondering how fast our '90T Auto would be with a Test pipe and Catback. I used 20HP gain for cat back, 10HP gain for test pipe and 230HP stock. punched in 3600lbs for the car in the calculator and said about 14.991 ET. way off? What are you guys running and what do you have done?

I wouldn't give 30hp for that, but I would give around 35 for a full 3" downpipe to muffler. Thats just what I've researched. I\d guess depending on driver and condition of car mid 14's??? My guess.

Stock will vary with the different wastegate acutuators, and the factory allowable tolerance.

yea stock auto your gonna do 190 to the wheels. those mods, you'll be arround 220 wheel or so. low 15's . some drag radials, perfect elevation and ambient temperature, and a perfect dead on launch and a perfect engine. perhaps 14.99 but dont bet on it.

Unfortunately, you didnt list a weight. And ET is based on multiple factors, unlike mph. Traction, gearing and area under the curve determine you quick you get to the finish line.

With a curb weight of an MA70 turbo and a 200 lb driver, you need 350 hp to travel a quarter mile in 12.9 seconds. That does not take gearing into account.

M'kay. so we're around 15.0 E.T. Titan downpipe & T4 is next... the stock exhaust is so crumby.... These cars are HEAVY I'm beginning to see. My mk2 weighed 2,900 stock curb weight. I've pulled about a solid 500-600lbs out of it. so it's sitting around 2,400lbs at most.

I think you'll get better than 14.99 with those mods. Bone stock with the boost kicked up to ~10psi I did 14.7 @ 94. The auto is maybe going to be slower, but I see a lot of auto guys around here running some very respectable times.

A downpipe with a real 3" elbow makes all the difference. though, I doubt you'll be dissapointed.

It's a good start with plans for dp, intake and boost controller over the winter.

I ran a 12.35 at 116 mph with only 366 rwhp in a full weight 88 5spd. It does not take as much Hp as everyone says.
