How would you remove them? Are the just bolted on and would i be able to put the door panel and everything back on without them in place? Also for those that have removed how much do those things weigh?

Alright I get it...You all think its a dumb question. I was just curious about it since I saw in one of the weight reduction threads, someone mentioned removing them.

On a somewhat related note... I removed them as well as both front and rear rebars on my AE86... :(

OEM stylez though, fo realz.

(Japan didn't have side impact beams or rebars on the AE86... I happened upon a set of rust free AE86 doors that I couldn't resist. Also, the Japanese AE86's do have "bumpers" inside the bumper covers, they just aren't a full rebar like we had, not even close, lol.)

In any case, the weight savings isn't worth the safety loss IMO. Stick with the impact beams. I know I'd rather have them -- even in the AE86.
