2jz dont hardley make any torque to break the stock clutch loose. My 1j did it all the time. So much for 2js having "torque"

Ninja edits dont work when they were already quoted.

But seriously I feel like my stock clutch was a freak and I feel that I will never see another one do what that one did

Ninja edits work just fine. My stock clutch/PP setup held just fine at around the 320rwhp mark, not sure how much torque I was making though. I'd figure on upgrading, if nothing else, to a slightly stiffer pressure plate, but no real need to go with a puck style clutch unless you start pushing 400+.

My stock R154 clutch was just fine on the street at 17ish psi on a single 1J setup. 320-340ish whp maybe? Ran pretty well.

Took it to the track and on my second run pulled a perfect launch and then roasted the clutch the whole way down. That was the end of my stock clutch days.

It was an older clutch, but on a bpu 2J I wouldn't even bother with a new one. It won't hold up to hard driving. Upgrade it.

Good luck!
