Whats the easiest way to tell the diference?

uh...if they're stock, they are aluminum. if they are steel, chances are they are painted black....or on a ford.

if you are confused by the above and you get desperate, use a magnet.

I have never seen a cast steel wheel on a car... well, not a modern car at least...
