a fellow supra owner told me there hks headgasket has bare metal on the outer layers and the black (viton) layer in the middle.

ever heard of this??
if it is this way when i go look at it, should i clean and copper spray it?

ive had 3 hks bead type and have never heard of this.

it is currently installed on there motor so i haven't seen it yet but i want to know if i should spray it with copper spray if it is bare.

All the mhg's ive seen have the viton on the outside. If your reusing you can spray the copper spray just make sure the gasket is clean.
