HKS BOV Question....

On this hks bov that came on my car when I purchased it I noticed it has two vacuum source ports. Both are hooked up to vacuum lines (tee'd off each other). One of the vacuum nipples on the BOV is broken though. So with the 1 line still hooked up to it, it blows off as it should (quiet though).

I am just wondering if anyone knows if this could affect its performance or anything like that? Sorry I dont have a real good picture of it..

Thanks.

Do you ever here that "fuff fuff fuff"? Wait, I dunno if that happens with twin turbos... Anyway, its compressor surge... I had an old skool HKS and it wrecked my turbo... Of course, it was my first turbo, so I thought the fuff fuff fuff noise was cool and suppose to happen: "Thats my blow off valve"... No, it wasnt... That was my turbo crying...

Yea it does. If you watch it when you are under the hood revving you can see it moving in and out.

To me that means it is ok, maybe the second port has something to do with running higher boost!?

Thanks a ton Reign.

No prob... I would recommend updating though... When you can... I know the older HKS's were made of plastic... Keep that in mind when you think about the age and abuse that piece has taken.... The flange should be the same as a modern HKS, so it would be as simple as removing the c-clip and replacing the bov with a newer one... Just a little advice...

I did not know that. Good info. Damn I hate those C-clips though, they drive me NUTS!

Good thing I have an SSQV hanging around than.

Thanks once again ;)
