Ok, i have no boost leaks, my cps is aligned as tsrm says, my fuel presure is set at 28psi at idle with the vacumm hose conected but when i turn off the engine it drops in 5 minutes to 0 psi, i had my wastegate shimmed to 8psi before, now i hit fuel cut at 4psi, i am getting code 34 too. my tps is working and adjusted too. But when i hit fuel cut right after i drive it normal lots of white smog comes out my exhaust, Could it be a bad wastegate or an injector that keeps open?? i tried with an after market boost gauge and it really boosts 4 psi only. but the problem really starts when the turbo starts to spool, before 0 psi. :1zhelp:

code 34 is a boost leak. and it sounds like you have a boost leak. I had the same problem you did and it turned out to be a boost leak. my leak was at the coupler on the 3000 and TB.

That is your 34. You are putting more fuel into the intake than what should be. The airflow meter measures how much, and the air escapes somehow. I highly doubt that you don't have an intake leak.

I have a walbro installed but i adjusted pressure as tsrm says, 28psi aproximatly, what should i adjust it at? That´s why i am suspecting of a leaking injector. And yea i don´t have boost leaks, i have checked many times.

Yeah, leaky injectors cause code 34 all the time. Go ahead and yank them all. It'll be a valuable learning experience.

Lol you're so angry. I can only hope to be that way some day. :biglaugh:

Do you still have the stock intercooler pipes on the car?

Ok, you do know that the rubber on the stock pipes usually start to crack and create a boost leak. You can't tell unless it's under boost which is when the crack opens.

The only codes that are related to fuel are 25 and 26. You would be getting a code 26 if an injector is staying open at WOT. Code 26 means you are running rich.

Code 34 is only limited to a bad turbo, a bad AFM, a boost leak, or the ECU.

My car felt like it fell on its face as soon as I hit 5 psi. I thought it was fuel cut because the wastegate was shimmed but it was a boost leak.

What did you check? 34 is when fuel is halted from too high of an airflow signal. All that smoke is becaue the ECU is injecting fuel, but the air is escaping before it enters the cylinder.

Maybe the bypass valve is leaking to the atmosphere. That could be your intake leak.

Injectors have no effect on fuel cut. They could all be stuck on - or off, for that matter, and it wouldn't trigger a code 34. The fuel pump is likewise not involved.

The guys are right, in that we've seen this error code thousands of times, and it's always been a boost leak. How did you check for boost leak?

The only other thing I can think of that might cause a code 34 is a faulty ECU... but I'd rank that possibility about 0.5%. And that's being generous.

i sprayed carb cleaner over the hoses and i didn´t find any leak. i guess my problem is lack of fuel, my sparks plugs are brownie. how much psi should i set my fuel pressure regulator at?

Yeah- the leak won't be open at anything other than positive boost. Pull all of your rubber intercooler hosea. You'll find a bad one.

I deleted the emerging flamewar. People, I've got zero tolerance for this bullshit in the tech sections. STFU.

It's a boost leak just like everyone else is telling you man. Grab ahold of one of your rubber hose a give that bitch a big 'ole squeeze. See how dry and brittle it is? replace it, all of it, even the couplers. It's cheaper to just get new, upgraded stuff than to buy the replacements from a dealer, or buy someone else's old dried up junk ;).
