Since I live in backwoods (farms, dirt roads, gravel roads etc.) I am wondering if injesting this excessive amount of dirt and dust everyday is having an effect on my motor. I will be running another comp test come spring to compare with my previous results.

I am using a blitz air filter. It's all stainless with a 200 micron outer section and a 150 micron end/top.

Should I switch back to the stock air box and paper filter?

I'm worried about excessive ring and valve wear. Should I be? Does a paper filter, filter that much better? This has been bugging me for a while now.

To eliminate any sort of guessing.

Send your oil to be tested.
Silicon #'s will relate to how much sand and dirt you are ingesting.
They can help you interpret the #'s & give you a baseline.
Then you can determine if your filter is adequate or not.

I am aware of silicon levels in oil due to the air filter. But then I would need to run a sample with the stock air box, then one with the blitz. I was just wondering what some people run (that have analyzed their oil).

I'm using redline 5w30 if that matters.
