Instead of trying to put all my posts in as separate events, I just copied my whole thread from another to get you up to snuff !!! Hi all, it's an honor and a privilege to be around you great folks who preserve and improve these fantastic works of art !!!

Here's my story...

He's a very clean One Owner ride I picked up for a Datsun B210 and a few hundred bucks... Blown engine and slipping Automatic. I would have done a 1J-2J swap, but my gearhead neighbor has a slew of 7M's at his disposal, so parts were plentiful...
p1678420_1.jpg

The engine had to be taken out as returned as part of the deal. I work in a wrecking yard, and had a car come in that the previous owner had torched, so I bought the engine out of it. This is what I started with...Behold the BBQness....:aigo:
p1678420_2.jpg

Got it all torn down, had to be bored .020 over, and bought new internals...
p1678420_3.jpg

p1678420_4.jpg

Had all the headwork done on the third head I dug up, and got it all dialed in...
p1678420_5.jpg

I just ordered 18" staggered wheels, and should be here in a week or so. I'll get photos when they arrive... All this makes me one happy camper though....
p1678420_6.jpg

More updates as they come up....

Santa came early thanks to the UPS man !!!!!
p1678420_7.jpg

ADR Battle Axe 18" Gunmetal with polished lip alloy SEX !!!! :naughty:.. 8.5" fronts, 9.5" rears. They ain't the most expensive or the biggest name, but I just love 'em. Got 235-40's for the front rubber, and I'm thinking 265-40's for the rear. I have a pair of 285-40's at work though... I may do them...

From this......
p1678420_8.jpg

To this......
DONE !!!! :evil2: . I decided to use a few of the burned up brackets and clamps, and leave them in all their splendor as a conversation piece...
p1678420_9.jpg

p1678420_10.jpg

Came home from work Saturday to see my friend had taken the fronts to work with him and mounted/balanced 235-40 Pirelli P6's to them .....
p1678420_11.jpg

Price including mount and balance... free, so I ain't gonna complain about them. I brought home a pair of 275-40 Coopers that I got at work for the rears on the CHEAP !!! Definitely not going to complain about that either !!!!
Absolutely not the best, but for the price, I just couldn't turn them down... Just until I can find the right size/brand I want to roll long term.

Ok... Here we go.......
p1678420_12.jpg

p1678420_13.jpg

p1678420_14.jpg

Let you know how it all went tonite !!!!!

OK.... Big pic dump...lots of goodies goin on today....
Blew off a ton of pine needles, then cleaned up the engine bay...
p1678420_15.jpg

Then we tried an experiment, decided to mate the trans, do all the service, and drop them at the same time. The Deuce was temporarily called "Guinea Pig"
p1678420_16.jpg

Off to the car we go....
p1678420_17.jpg

All in all, the drop was surprisingly smooth and went quite quickly...
p1678420_18.jpg

In and locked down !!!
p1678420_19.jpg

Doing the install with the mated trans meant a total time on the creeper about 35 minutes...Good thing, it was cold down there !!!!
p1678420_20.jpg

A teaser of the next wave....
p1678420_21.jpg

More tomorrow nite !!!!

Started dinking around with the brakes, will post in the cheap brake detail thread when done...
p1678420_22.jpg

Break in done on the engine, just little details to finish up...new hoses, belts, routing, final detailing, etc...
p1678420_23.jpg

Just little things here and there today....
p1678420_24.jpg

Noone had good radiator hoses in stock locally, so I'll probably hit up Driftmotion for some silicone ones...

Uh Ohhhhhhhh, Look who's coming !!!!!
p1678420_25.jpg

The Deuce is ready for the road !!! Just got back from driving him around, just a faulty speedo now, dunno what happened. I'll get him back in the shop tomorrow after work. I'll get the exhaust sured up this week so the lowering setup can go on. Had to put a mechanical oil pressure gauge in until my pillar pod and real gauges come in. The car is filthy right now, but I will get better pics after he's clean.... BTW I know now how the RFL blow off valves got their name... this thing could wake the dead, lol !!!
Last nite in the shop before the first real drive...Takin him to work tomorrow. Dan (My Supra Geek that I have to thank a million times over for the expertise!) brought his in the shop too for a little adjustment or two... I couldn't resist... :evil2:
p1678420_26.jpg

p1678420_27.jpg

p1678420_28.jpg

No, the hood isn't a different shade, it was just dirtier than the rest of the car ...I did do a quick wash...
Update tomorrow !!!! :naughty:

Just back from a small Christmas Cruise... Trying to get 100 break in miles do I can get on it a little bit. Still had a coolant leak, but I finally found it and got it fixed... Couple of dirty pics for now...
p1678420_29.jpg

p1678420_30.jpg

Merry Christmas everyone !!!!
Got the speedo problem fixed finally (Faulty speedo gear ). Still have a little snow, so I took a couple quick shots with the new camera...
p1678420_31.jpg

p1678420_32.jpg

Going to start the gauge install during the week, and the lowering project should start next weekend !!!

Got the Euro markers put in...
p1678420_33.jpg

Hoping for a bigger report later on...Get all the gauge plumbing finished up so I get the engine bay buttoned up. So I will put a before pic, not like it will look any different probably...
p1678420_34.jpg

Let the lowering commence.... More pics when I get it done...
p1678420_35.jpg

I've been waiting for 6 months for this...Her 'tis folks !!!!!! :evil2:
p1678420_36.jpg

H&R Springs for 2" front and rear with stock TEMS Struts for now....
p1678420_37.jpg

p1678420_38.jpg

And the Cockpit... :naughty:
p1678420_39.jpg

Will upgrade stuff as I go...figure out what make my heart go pitter patter..

Photos just cause I was bored today....

Beautiful car, but I must say:

GET RID OF THOSE DRILLED ROTORS!!!!!

If you dive that car hard they will crack sooner rather than later, especially because the holes are drilled in a pattern. Its like connect the dots for a crack.

But all in all, GREAT WORK!!!!!!:icon_bigg

Thanks a ton y'all !!!! I had my doubts at the beginning of this build, but now I'm stoked about the car.... It is definitely more of an attention getter than I ever thought it would be. As for all my new NW Supra mates, Hello !!! It is a mission of mine to try and meet everyone in person eventually !!!

Nice lookin Supra you've got there! I love that tone of blue too- Not too bold, and not too understated- so nice. Congrats on the engine as well, that's quite the transformation!
Welcome!

Well, good and not so good today. Got the 255-35's on the rear today, less rake and not so heavy feeling while turning the wheel. Now they look smaller than the front tires though, UGH. I have some 225-40 P-Zeros that I will have mounted on Tuesday, hopefully that will help. The Tokicos up front with different springs help end the scrubbing...kinda. It moved it from the lip of the fender to the splash shield. Hoping the 225's up front will help with that....Ain't projects grand??!!?? Sorry for the dirty shots, I can't wait until the weather gets better....

Been kinda slow....Deciding what to do about the suspension setup. Pretty much back to square one I'm thinking. HR's are too low in front, and DropZones are even lower. Gonna try and find some Eibach's for the front I guess. If that don't work, I'll have to save more pennies for a coilover setup. I'd like to keep it with the TEMS, but if I can't have it both ways, I guess I'll give it up.... Here's a pic with the 255-35's in back and the 225-40's up front...
