Help with turbo dash conversion

this may sound stupid to alot of yall sm experts but do you have to switch the na dash to a turbo dash when doing a turbo swap or can you use the na and youll just be without a boost gauge becouse I already have that so just let me know what my options are thanks alot guys

the factory boost gauge is worthless. many people actually replace their boost gauge with the voltmeter.

just use your NA guages and keep the voltmeter and run an aftermarket boost gauge.... you will need to modify your tach to get it to work properly with the turbo ecu (you need to change the resistance).. or get a tach from a turbo cluster.... (remember 86-88 guauges are asthetically different than 89+)

drjonez has the info on his sites, which are both in my signature. (for re-wiring) or you could replace the N/A tach board with a turbo one.

alright that sounds great thanks for all of yalls info on this topic but i have one more question not related to the tach it is about my wiring harness well my question is, the harness is a little cut at the end of were it plugs into the ecu and I was wondering if there was a way to take the individual wires out of the plastic clip holding all of them without damaging and them being able to go back in just fine thanks alot
