I need help on the 7m, when drive it n bout to change gear, n another words spool up. it starts poppin and gives out and engine light comes on under boost, ran the diagnosis paper clip thing and only got code 51. swith signal. Ive looked at timing, and for boost leaks, also spark plug gap is good. thought it would b sumthing about the knock sensors but no code came off, is their a way to check them with a volt meter? also read sumthing about swith signal could b about the throttle positon sensor circuit also. my throttle value or idiler watever u wanna call it, is like warn out n seems loose, like once n awhile u hit the gas while at idle n park, it about gets stuck. n takes longer to go down n rpms. so my best guess would b the throttle valve(idler).................. any ideas or suggestions. thanks. also sorry for the sloppy typin, on my phone right now.

Check your tps and make sure the linkage is not binding.

I got code 51 playing hell with my car right now also. Make sure your TPS is with in range and use the guide that hvyman linked you to. Good luck.
i put it tps on, n adjust it right, made it idle really rough, n kinda think its the throttle linkage, but also my throttle body had a small hole n it for sum rock or sumthing, n i have a throttle body from a 87, will that work on a 1990?
ya lol, surpised me, would that also make u run richer? n alright thanks, imma put the tb on, hopefully its it, if not imma get another throttle linkage.
