Why overnight?

the order won't be placed until monday, chances are it will have to come from a warehouse, so he won't be able to ship it until tues/weds (he can usually have everything by the 2nd day no matter what)

More or less its going to take about as long to get it from Curt as it will any other dealer. Is it raining that bad in NJ right now? I thought it was hot as hell...

If I'm spending over 100 bucks in parts, its still worth it to have them overnighted to me from Curt, vs going to the local dealership.

that - if i understood correctly

Once they're shot they're shot. Can't fix 'em.

I didn't know autozone sells them. I think I would go with the Toyota seal, even though it's more money. Chinese rubber products are iffy.

If I understood your rambling correctly... you didn't. You seem to be talking about time, I meant from a strictly cost perspective.

Either way, if for some reason you needed parts NOW, then any extra time is just not acceptable anyway. I have been in a situation like that multiple times before. Where like I said, it is still more cost effective on anything over $100 from him with overnight shipping then going to the local place.

I'll stop there... you're pissing me off.

I have a used spare I bought for "just in case" that I can try to send you, but then I wouldn't have a spare. This and other silly stuff is what I keep an eye out for when someone's parting out an MKIII, even if I don't need it at that time (and can be had inexpensively when U R not desperate).

JC Whitney has a AWESOME selection of different molding materials, shapes, thicknesses, etc... Just measure how much ya need and take a look for one which will make a good seal... cheap and new... it's the way to go.
