Has anyone done any pedal modifications/replacements?

firmer throttle pedal just adjust the throttle linkage that runs over the valve covers (unless you have RHD, I'm not sure how that works). I have my gas pedal adjusted so that there is 0 slop. press the pedal and the throttle plate opens :)

Yeah, I've seen those threads, partly why I created this. Those threads are old, and pics are gone etc.

I've got a custom throttle bracket, it has no slack on the cable, so plate opens right away. I'm however wondering how you made the pedal firmer with adjusting the stock linkage?

There's an adjustment you can do to the brake pedal height. I did this on my car, had a writeup on AZSC, but it's probably been lost in the shuffle over the years. The adjustment info is in the TSRM if you take a look for yourself. I'm headed to bed soon, but if you don't find it before I get around to the thread again I'll try to find it again. :)

Makes heel/toe-ing so much easier, but the general lack of compression makes turbo cars a bit slow to respond, so it's not *quite* as fun...

My throttle pedal's upper mounting point busted a few years ago, and the upper bolot itself partly stripped, so that I couldn't take it out.
It made for a very flimsy throttle, that would essentially bend sideways, and almost get in the way of the brake pedal. I finally decided to fix it,
And I also wanted to raise the brake pedal towrds me a slight amount. When I finally got around to digging into it, I fould that the firewall metal itself was broken away. So, Me and my buddy cleaned the area, and welded a new piece of steel with a new nut, onto the firewall, repairing the hole. Then, We welded a flat square, 1/4" plate against the back of the pedal's mounting tab, and reinforced said tab to eliminate side bending. The small area where the pedal plate mounts to has an area to it's left, that drops away, allowing for additional flexing of the pedal against the firewall metal. On that side, I also welded a small support section behind the new plate, to help against any possible 'rocking' of the pedal bracket.
All metal was powdercoated gloss black, and looks completely stock, because all of the fabrication is really hidden behind the bracket. If I get a chance, I'll take a pic or two when I get home. In all, it makes for a MUCH firmer pedal.
