Hello.
I have installed E8 on my 7M-GTE but have some problems with home and trigger setup. If I set home gain to 1 car starts fine and reads stable "trigger count as last home" till 5K RPMs. At 5K timing mark jumps off very often and trigger count @ last home reads 23 or 25 (instead of 24). If I reduce home gain to zero, car revs fine till 6.5K with stable "trigger count @ last home" but it starts VERY bad (reads wrong trigger count at last home during cranking).

So the question: couldn't you post please your home and trigger settings? (filter level and gain) Or may be you have ideas how to fix my problem?

PS: air gaps are 0.35 mm. Haltech shielded wiring is used.

I come from a land down under
Is this using a stock type CPS?

If so those Air Gaps may be a touch wide if the Magnets are old/tired.

Take a sheet of writing paper fold it in half and use that to reset them.
(My brand new CPS would fire the MoTeC reliably out of the box)

Sorry can't help with the other settings.

Well, I tried lower gaps - problem is worse. My E8 has VR decoder filter, so I can change gain and filter level. My settings are in lower range (0 or 1, max value is 15 iirc).

Haltech forum is not such fast like SM, and there is no 7M's... I know some people run Haltech with 7M, so I think they will see my question...

Well, I've solved problem. Tried different air gaps and gain values, but it didn't help alot. Then I changed trigger edge from rising to falling (so home edge will be shifted a little from trigger edge), adjusted timing and all become ok. Engine revs fine from 700 till 6500 without problems.
So, now let the tuning begin! =)
