So I just got my BS in mechanical engineering from RIT, and my grandma got me a pretty kickass graduation present:

1985 Porsche 928S
5.0L 32V V8 5-speed
Chipped with exhaust work
288hp from the factory, I'm guesstimating something closer to 330-345hp, but have to go to a dyno...

The sound of that german V8 is... amazing.

I have never driven such a solid car in my life.

Now the Supra can be relieved of it's DD duties and get the paint job and engine freshening she deserves...

What the hell, you're like collecting my favorite random cars most people aren't aware of. lol

I thought 85s had phone dials? Those look like 911 wheels. Congrats on acquiring another fantastic car.

Haha thanks

Those are actually Boxster 17"s- I think the '85s could come with either the phone dials or the weird slotted ones. The guy who had it gave us the OEM slotted ones as well, but I like these better.

I enjoy watching people walk around it and wonder wtf it is... quite amusing to me.

I'm thinking about picking up an S4 GTS when I get out of school.... Possibly sooner if I dump the Snake and can stomach another car loan lol

I've always loved those fat bootied cars. I want one so bad. And this comment from a 1985 car, "I have never driven such a solid car in my life" say alot about German engineering. I wish I could just once drive one.

Congratulations on both your achievement and your present. My buddy goes to RIT for mechanical engineering. Maybe you know him, his name is Dave Sharp, he drives an blue 00 Civic Si and a regular cab toyota pickup 4x4.
