THIS is my official build thread. I'm trusting you guys to kick me in the arse to get this thing finished by september so I can take her to nopi nationals in september and upset some ricer folk.

So about the car and engine. The car cost $50, the engine cost $880. The engine has around 380 HP on its current setup. The plan is to get her running first, then go for looks. When I do get to the looks aspect, I was planning on a black paint job with some black wheels w/chrome lip. Also either a 92 front bumper with a lip or a Greddy front bumper. Plus some clean Kaminari sides. For the rear, I'm just going to have two big pipes

Immediate future plans are a manual tranny(muncie 4-speed or T56 6-speed), holley 4bbl carb, a distributor, various pumps, and way to mount the engine up in there. Eventually some black paint maybe.

Ok, update...finally

I took some trips to autozone, and what I left with was a water pump, an alternator, a chrome alternator bracket, and a new chrome timing chain cover(not necessary)

I'm also gonna start posting my cost list for my own reference...any input on cost savers from you guys would be nice too.

•New Duralast Water Pump (New): $27

yeah, no engine. i was prepared to go up to $500 but i wasnt gonna tell the guy that. it was one of my roommate's friend's car. My roommate actually thought he was gonna just give it to me lol...but im not quite THAT lucky.

Dude I've been kicking this idea around on more than one occasion lately. Have you found any good sources for build up/installation tips online? I haven't really found anything yet and yet I've talked to probably 5-6 different people around my town that say they've seen this done and supposedly there is some sort of "conversion kit" for the mounts and what not.

a friend of mine had a 350 in an 89 supra. it was a fun car. only down side was the open diff.

Yeah but an open diff is something that can always be corrected later on down the road. I'm more interested in just figuring out a way to make it work. I have never done/attempted/seen such a feet so fabrication is out.

and maybe some ford EDIS /w megaspark or something

Yeah, im on a SB Chevy forum as well. alot of guys have done stuff like this before. theres a couple on this forum as well.
And if you find a conversion kit, you better fuckin tell me cuz that would make my life fantastic

It actually shouldn't be that bad...mounts, drive shaft, supra turbo rear end, and wiring. not too much more than that except for some careful lining up.

This was going to be too much time, work, and money.
