I have a set of MK4 TT rims sitting in my parents garage up north that I want to mount up over the Thanksgiving weekend. Initially, I was looking at summer tires, particularly the Falken FK452 and the Yokohama S.drive. After searching around, it seems like people agree that summer tires are not good for winter driving. I daily drive my car about 2 miles a day, and it can get wet and snowy down in this part of the state. I'd like to go with a dedicated set for both seasons but I cannot afford to do that at this point and the tires that are currently on the car are getting very worn. Should I go with the summer tires anyway or should I go with an all-season of some kind?
