Gauge wiring question

I've got three prosport gauges in the stock cluster and I'm planning on wiring the gauges (power, ground, ign) into the circuitboard sheet on the back of the gauge cluster. I'm assuming it should be OK to solder the gauge wires onto the sheet. Anyone care to give me a reason why I shouldn't?

i suppose I could do that for those, I just wanted to make the wires as short as possible (they exit the cluster behind the temperature gauge). However, since I have to run the +12V wire across the cluster anyway, I might as well take your advice and use ring terminals and attach the ign and ground wires to the fuel gauge screw terminals.

I'll try to sometime today...Being at work makes it a bit of a challenge though.

All you really need to do this job is a good dremel kit and an extra black gauge bezel. It takes a couple of tries to perfect the installation...

i did the same thing with autometer gauges. but i just bought pro sport's to replace them with.

did u get power feeds(ign, power, ground) from the back of the cluster?
if u did can u tell which/where feeds?
i have my gauges in the same location.
thanks

If you look closelty on the back of the cluster/circuit board/sheet, you will see the markings for ground and power . They are labelled im sure.

Nice work. Just in time I saw this as my gauges are coming in too :)
