ok here is the deal... I am working on getting everything together for my n/a-t setup.... I am goin to be using the n/a electronics..... So I know I am goin to need to use some kind of piggy back ecu setup to control fuel and what not.... I am goin to be using the MSD BTM setup for the timing... I have been looking into running the map ecu setup so I can get rid of the MAF..... I have also thought about just using a safc for the fuel control.... What would be the best option to go with runnin the stock turbo setup with aftermarket intercooler and 3 inch down pipe on n/a electronics.....

You could go with a rising rate FMU (would need a Walbro fuel pump) - but I really dislike them.

Rather than the MAP ecu, I'd go MAFT-Pro.

Run a MAFT-Pro, stock turbo 440s, walbro fuel pump, set your timing 2-4 degrees under stock, and run 6psi all day long.

If you already have the BTM, use it - if not, then don't bother buying it. The money you would spend on it, you could get the stock turbo electronics.

What are your long term goals?

I would consider a maftpro then if you budget can support it.. Retard timing in boost as needed... no need for a msd btm (which needs an msd ignition box i think)

I am just lookin to run around 6-7 lbs... The reson I was lookin into the map ecu is because I can get one for 250 bucks.... I would love to go with the maft-pro but my budget casn't really swing 500 to 600 bucks.... I was goin to run the msd btm so I could retard the timing for boost inside the car... I will be dyno tuning it when I am done....

I'm going to be doing what you are doing, and turbo electronics would def. be easier for you..

It's $399 for the MAFT-Pro ;) It does sooo much more than the MAP ECU, as well. DEFINITELY worth the price difference!

If all you want is 6psi on the cheap, I'd just toss a walbro 255 + rising rate FMU in there.

But trust me, once you get bit by the turbo bug, you WILL want more - just do it right the first time!
