Front struts install - quick question

I have been rebuilding the front subframe and now putting it all back together.

I cant remember if the tab on the strut that attaches to the brake line faces outward or inward?

Also any tricks to lining up the tems tab on the top of the strut?

Found some pics -
The tab looks like it faces inward twards the engine.
