FPR Position

I got a question, maybe a dumb one at that...
Is there any issue with mounting the FPR sideways. If your looking at the gauge from the front (numbers on pressure dial facing you and zero is in the 8 o'clock position, adjustment on top and outlet on bottom, inlet at rear). You then rotate the gauge 90 degrees to the left so that the outlet nipple is now horizontal pointing to the right, The adjustment screw is now horizontal pointing to the left and the mounting screws are on top. With this position, I can mount the gauge right next to my igniter and both input and output hoses are nice and neat, the height of the install is "low profile"; the only trick is the vacuum which will have to come up from between the wire harnesses near the igniter and the gauge face being sideways.
So... can you rotate the regulator or does it need to be in the upright position to function properly?
