With my upcoming suspension and brake job and all the other work in store, I decided to get an air compressor and air tools. My buddy Jesse who does a lot of work on my car and then his 90 Supra turbo is also gonna end up using it for some work on his car too. Plus I been wanting it to do the standard air up tires and misc. work to the car.
I ended up getting a Brute 15 gallon with a Briggs and Straton compressor with 125 psi setup, it also came with a 71 piece air tool kit with fitting 2 grinder guns, one impact gun and an air hammer. It did not have a hose, but I am having mom pick one up on her way home. The nice thing is it's a stand up version and it has wheels so I can move it around my garage pretty easily. I just put the wheels on, primed the engine, added the oil and got it all put away in my garage, I'll let you guys know how it does on my first install but its looking good and it runs suprisignly quiet. With 15 gallons on tap and a whooping 2.5hp compressor engine it should work pretty well.

Here are some pics I took today of it:

I tried to pick it up with my supra last night but needles to say it doesn't fit all that easily into the hatch. I just used it to air my tires and it put 44 psi into my toyo proxe fz4's with very little effort.

I looked at some 5 10 and 20 gallon tanks that lay down on the floor but the 15 gallon stand up I end up with just seems to do the best for me so I'd definatley recommend it for garage projects.

Yea I was trying out the impact wrench on my wheel tonight after I got the air line and all of it oiled and hooked up. I tried with the seats down, I always have them down anyways but it wouldn't get in it was an inch too long, pissed me off man LOL. I'm loving it so far, wish my car could run 125psi of boost hahaha maybe I should bolt this on in place of my turbo after all it is electric. LMAO

Maybe leaf blowers don't do 125psi... but they have air speeds of up to 225mph!

http://www.toro.com/home/yardtools/blowervacs/series.compare.pdf

Not sure what the psi conversion on that would be.. but I would imagine at least 6 or 7 psi...

Now if you somehow get that sucker onto some 220! It would be zooming.. sure it wouldn't last very long, but it would be cool to see.

There are people that have made smaller turbos out of leaf blowers, and all the people I have met that have done it, were very... hillbilly. They were done on cars that aren't near as good as what our Supra's are.. and to top it off, I don't believe they ever set it all up right to begin with, but there were noticeable power gains. Especially considering their engines were pieces of crap to begin with.

That link above, is more of a joke than it is anything. Please don't take me seriously.

We don't tolerate jokes and/or humor on supramania, please refrain. LOL just playing with ya. I like the rice boys who get those 600 e-ram electronic "superchargers" that don't do a fucking thing, one guy lost 2 whp and 3 ft/lbs of torque after installing one on his integra, it was sad 500 bucks down the hole, lol.
