Have some Tein SS coilovers on their way but am unsure what to do with my exhaust that seems to hang unusually low under the car. If I lower the car too low then the exhaust will get damaged. I've attached a couple of pics of it. Exhaust was done by PO. Is it missing a bracket or something to hold it up or what? Any ideas what I can do?

Well, another exhaust hanger would need to be welded on. The pipe would need to have a grinder taken to it to get rid of the rust in the area for the weld, then have someone weld the hanger in place. It goes right before the rear subframe, to support the pipe between the axleback and the cat.

How low do you plan on going, and what is the spring rate for the rear coilovers?

I had this problem. I just lowered the exhaust anyway and I'm careful over bumps. Unfortunately for me my driveway has a large bump at the front which causes me to scrape horrifically every time i go up or down it. My exhaust wasn't anything special though, just your standard no-name 3.5" catback, as long as it does its job i couldn't care less if it has a few scratches, its not like anyone see's down there.

But yea an exhaust shop should be able to fix your problem no worries.

i think its fine, mine used to hang wayyyyy lower than that and i used to be dumped on some H+Rs with sagging springs. the front, by where the downpipe is will scrape ALWAYS before the rear does, unless youre going up/down a weird driveway
