i am driving a mk3 with a 1jz
garrett gt35r and needed mods

but my egt`s are going as high as 880 celsuis
i don`t think that is save
my af ratio is below 11

what can be wrong?

Timing plays a huge roll in EGT's, what are you using to tune the car?

Where is the probe in the exhaust?

i am using the zeitronix zt-2 and egt sensor
and the apexi afcII

the sensor is placed in the turbo near the T3 flange

That is at the upper end, but safe.
HKS says that when tuning stay below 900c (full throttle runs).
