engine harness question

yes, there may be some rewireing but it will work. is the engine and all of its sensor from the 88 also?
yes thats the part your going to need to rewire. off the top of my head the coil packs, ignitor and cps are wired different...b1 also i believe
Are they all WIRED different? It's not often mentioned, but grey and green connectors almost all will plug right in regardless. The only one that I think is different is the igniter in some cases. I know I had a mismatched coil pack and I think also CPS in my old white car.
shit im sorry i thought this was the GTE section my info may still be good but im not sure. it may be your dizzy, and coil that require rewireing

the temp sensors are different. and im not sure if its the same for ge's but 89+ have different resistance values for the injectors.
I am using a yellow plug harness on an 89 engine just because my car is a yellow plug chassis. On my gte, I had to re wire three or four sensors, but I know two of them were on the water neck side....ge only has one on the water neck to re-wire if I remember correctly. Luckily, I had an 89 harness lying around with all the needed connectors so I could just splice the connectors I needed onto the harness.
