EGR removal, just 2nuts/2bolts?

I was feeling around tonight to guage how much of a PITA removing the EGR was going to be. I can't see in so i could only feel around. I see the two bolts connected to the intake plenum, and from what i could feel i found 2 nuts on the side the EGR connects to the heads. Besides obvious vacuum hoses, is that it for removal?

Also, i'm removing it because it leaks very steadily. I was just going to epoxy around the crimp on it and the screws on the bottom since thats mostly where i heard the leaks...is that a terrible idea or A-ok?

theres 2 ports for the EGR.. one goes through the lower I/M into the head, and one is on the Upper I/M.
You will need EGR blockoff plates, as well as gaskets. (make some from gasket material.

disconnecting the vacuum lines is pretty much self and visual explanitory

I'm not removing it permanently, theres benefits to having it there. I just need to get it off to seal it from leaking.

Im just asking if there are only 2 nuts and 2 bolts then some vacuum lines...or are there more bolts/nuts i couldn't find??

why not save some gas and keep your temps down? there's not really a big negative to the egr

to my understanding thats what the evap system does not the egr (why JDM engines have the evap system and not the egr, people just take evap off with the egr usually and confuse them, exhaust gas recirculation sounds less friendly than fuel evaporative emission control) he also said he is just temporarily taking it off.

yet someone correct me if im wrong :)

why would jdm engines come without this? lower emissions, better gas mileage, cooler temps at the cost of a couple of horsepower? maybe? or is there more to it than just that?
