It looks like I'll need to buy one of these very soon for my new turbo setup. I see that there are 104 of them currently on eBay between $100 and $200, and Driftmotion sells one for $200. What are the differences? Are they all 304 stainless? Or are some 321? All 3mm thick wall? Are these current ones fixed to clear the oil filter area? Can anyone suggest the best vendor? I'd like to avoid the past problems associated with these manifolds. (i.e. warped flanges, cracking, etc). Thanks!

Also, is there anywhere I can buy a ready-made angled T4 spacer like the one in the photo? This one is a T3-T4 adapter, but I need a T4-T4 one to move my turbo up in my engine bay.

^^Their website only shows one for the 7M and says it is 321 ($275), but their eBay store says it is 304 stainless ($199). Do they offer 2 versions? I assume 321 is better? How can you know what they're really made of?

Yes they do both and the 321 is better, I remember someone did the metalurgy on one and while it's not the best stainless you can buy it was 321.

It just copes with the heat better than 304, I've had mine hot enough to melt the ceramic coatings and the header is fine and crack free so well worth the extra $.

John made one for me years back, when I was building a 7M. I sold it a long, long time ago to someone.... Anywho, maybe john can bounce one out to you....

Jon@MDC made one for me about 1 year ago. Never got around to use it. Only mocked up on a T4 manifold. It is for sale.

I'm running one of the eBay T4 exhaust manifolds, it's nothing to really write home to mom about, but it gets the job done for 200...

My biggest complaint is that while it's 'ok' is that is sits further back than I'd like. In fact, I had to make some adjustments to fit in a 3.5in DP + 60-1 v-banded turbo (aka firewall+hammer). Also having some gripes about the clearance is gives between the WG dump tube and the rest of the car, but it's nothing some grinding and welding can't handle.

They're made for RHD cars so the DP is a problem on LHD as the firewall bulges for the AC.

Does any one make a manifold that DOESN'T need mods to make it fit, Direct bolt on would be ideal.

I've had problems with "SSAC"
One: didn't clear the dip stick.
Two: it layed right up against the oil filter adaptor.
Three: I didn't realized that it would fit ct/26 (which is my fault)
Four: I would have spent a lot of money to reweld the shitty welds that it has.

The adaptor plate: doesn't that disrupt the air flow? and would it be better to just rotate the plate that came with the manifold, with the adaptor, wouldn't you have to mod the exhaust so it will mate up with the elbow?

Wouldn't the manifold make the car louder?

Did you buy from their website for $275? Also, is there any visual difference between 321 and 304? Mo87 is selling his but is not sure which it is.

Last time I checked, Drewgo only makes JZ manifolds.

I would reccomend the Drewgo manifold... I think he makes a 7M version. They are have thick walled piping (3mm) and true 321 SS and the fit great. Brad call me and we can discuss your turbo setup.

not sure if this is the same manifold.. but I went looking for thsi "drewgo" so i could see about purchasing one and i found this link at the forbidden land. note i never did find out where i can buy one of these.

i read through the first 4 pages.

Wasn't there a guy/company called Zoon-(something) that used to make manifolds? I can't seem to find the website anymore.

I bought a T4 manifold off eBay and it's doin just fine. Got the T4 flange Hacked off and a T3 one welded on there and nothing bad happened :) So I'm happy with it.

Yes from their site.

There's a tag welded under runner #1

Yes. It hits nothing, even with the heat shield on.

On to serious. Is Cartech still making T4's for the 7M?
