I'm not that much of a fanboy :p I believe however that its the best bang for the buck. It's downfall is how much knowledge you need to make it work, compared to the more expensive standalone options, which take much less user knowledge. For example a lot of the motec systems once installed basically tune themselves. I recently figured out I can make my megasquirt system, have "ramp" boost, similar to that on the AVC-R boost controllers. The Megasquirt unit alone cost less than an AVC-R, making just that aspect worth while.

Just buy the basic kit, with innovative LC-1 wideband with the gauge. It's actually a prosport gauge, so its quality. With your project i'd suggest doing a wiring harness from scratch using there kit.
