Hey everyone, sorry for posting, but Ive searched forever now and cannot find the old thread related to top gear speeds for the different differentials for the MKIII. Im swithing out my 4.30 LSD for the 3.91 LSD and Im curious to the actual MPH differences. Can anyone post the link of the thread or give me any info?

Thanks,
Brandon

rpm= gear x ring and pinion x speed x 336/ tire diameter.

Now you can figure it out by substituting a variable into the unknown, and do some 5th grade math.

I never knew that's what the formula was, thanks. Question though, the 336 in there seems like a somewhat arbitrary number, where does that come from or stand for?

Some engineer in the automotive world discovered it. It converts the different scales. It is the formula used by the online "calculators".
