For those that didn't it was in San Marino and it was a great race!! My favorite driver , Michael Schumacher, qualified on the pole and won the race!! This was by far the best race this season and I hope things stay competitive for the rest of the season!! The only thing that sucked was that the race was on CBS so it was tape delayed by about 5 hours. Check out www.F1.com to catch up on whats going on in the series.

Stupid Comcast took Speedchannel off my cable system for some weird reason and jarbled up all the channels. I still have not called them about it though :aigo: I dread the "hold" time :hsugh:

Either way, keep me updated on the races:naughty:

Really cool fact (to me at least) about this years engines in F1!! Now that all F1 teams have gone to 2.4L V-8 and rpms are moving toward the 20-21,000 rpm range the air entering the engines is APPROACHING THE SPEED OF SOUND!! I think that is F***ING AMAZING!! :aigo: So I don't know if this is the rpm limit or what? Now that the FIA has given teams these smaller engines there may be no way to make anymore power without more rpms!! :nono: I am not sure what displacement of how much power Nascar is producing but any F1 engine would bitch smack whatever they have!! No replacement for displacement my ass!!

I'll be at the canadian grand prix in Montreal for June 23-25. I go every year and have a blast. It nice to see Schumacher shaping up more for this season, seeing how he broke is 7 year champion title last season.

Man I would love to go see a race live!! I am planning to go to the US Grand Prix (If that don't remove it from the schedule) in 2007!! I am glad to see I am not the only one who watchs, because I honestly beleive the F1 is the pinnacle of open wheel racing and maybe even motorsports period!!

I went to the USGP in 2004 and me and a buddy are going this year as well. Words can not describe how awesome the experience is. The sights and sounds on TV do not do justice to the action that takes place. I'll be sure and post some pictures from this year and from 2004 if anyone is interested.

:( i wont be able to go this year all i can do is sit downtown and listen to the race from afar, have fun at the race.

Speaking of how they will improve engines it would be interesting to see if they try some sort of hybryd like the V8 to power the rear wheels and electric motos for the front powered off of the V8. They could also acheve better conering speed with that. Like McLearan did that year when that had the brake system that would brake the inside tire on the turns a little more then then outside for better turn in and less deceleration in the corners.

also a 4 wheel drive F1 would be a site

4 wheel drive would be cool, but I think it would add too much weight (They weigh 1320 LBS!! Fat pigs!! :naughty: ) and make the cars react much differently. I wouldn't mind seeing them throw a little boost at the enignes like that did a long time ago.

they could design a elctric engine that would work in conjunction with that fact that the tires are already spining not so much providing drive force but steering responce and cornering force

plus i think turbo charging is still a no no in the books just like running skirts for the cars

Son of a bitch did anyone else see what hey did to Schumacher!! That should have been anothor win for him and not that bastrd Alonso!!! I really believe that it was an accident!! Here is a link to the whole story http://www.formula1.com/news/4430.html

He turned that fastest lap and I think he had 2 of 3 fastest sector times while stuck in traffic during the race. Even after all that bullshit he still came from 22nd to 5th. Greatest driver of all time hands down (Next to myself of course LOL) !!
