I ordered a Denso 3-wire o2 sensor from sparkplugs.com for my Supra(Turbo). It arrived this evening. The Denso is much smaller in size than my stock o2 sensor. I was just wondering for those who siwtched to the Denso 3-wire. Did they send me the right one?

Well Installed it today. Now my mk3 won't start, it cranks over and wants to fire, but smells flooded, and will not run. Any ideas, I followed the instructions just as Dylan did. I even forgot the wire covering just like dylan and had to split it and use tape.

The O2 sensor they sent me p/n 234-3050

I hooked the blue wire to the blue wire and connected both black wires to the other 2 black wires, crimped, and then used the heat shrink so water does not get in. How can I hook the o2 up wrong? is their a certain way it mounts back on the elbow? I know the wiring was correct before adding the sheath and reinstalling. If I don't have any luck I'll take it off again and check everything out but I don't think thats the case.

Well I took it off and re-did the cutting, stripping, connecting, crimping and heat shrinking. Then I replaced the EFI fuse under the hood. Went to crank her she didn't start on the first crank but was trying i let off and then when i cranked the key again nothing happened, my battery is like almost completely drained just enough to ding for the door being ajar. My car would fire on the first crank before with the bad o2 sensor. I'm really confused, I jiggled the cps wires a little (never had to do this before), before I tried to start it, didn't help anything. I'm clueless and very upset, Sorry I didn't get to pick you up in the Supra today Drew :( , I don't know how something so simple became to be so difficult. I'm all out of ideas.

No open boost hoses, All I unplugged was the o2 sensor and bent the clips that hold it's wires. I haven't checked all the fuses though. It's dark and don't really have a suitable work light at the moment.
Also my car backfired both times after installing the O2 sensor, I forgot to mention that.

Hmmm.... sounds to me like dumb luck - as in something may have failed at the exact same time you changed the o2 sensor.

For sh!t$ and giggles, put the old o2 back in and see if the car runs.

I don't think it will, but try.

Thanks, Now this is a bit weird to me. My car with the key turned to Acc. has lights and dings with door open and stuff. When I turn the key to the On position the battery drains down and theirs nothing. Any ideas what would cause this?
