Its pretty ironic that people like that car so much, being that delorean was a huge flop on its face. Could have a good bit to do with back to the future. Not saying i dont dig it though, its rare, different and pretty effin cool looking. Not to mention i never saw one riced out which is a definate plus. Damn ricers
I think one of the Gold plated ones was in a texas collection and this one was just transfered to the Peterson musuem from a casino in Nevada I believe? The Peterson is in LA BTW.

I've seen a couple of 'em around here for sale. This was about half a year ago. They were pretty cheap. Eh, not a big fan.
i saw one at the drag strip a few weeks ago that had an Ebay "XS Power" turbo kit on it with intercooler. i think it ran like 12.5?
I think one of the main reasons it flopped was the owner of the company who used to work for GM I think or a major car company was busted for drug trafficing and they shut him down. I know it started production in 1981 and only went for a couple of years. They are nice though...I wouldn't mind owning one myself.
John DeLorean was arrested for the possesion of coke with the intent to sell, but was released because of embezzlement. He just died last year. They went from 1981 to 1983. He did work for GM but GM didnt like his ideas so he made his own side company, hence DMC instead of GMC.
