well i have an 89 AUTO and N/A supra that i decided to do a swap on.

I swap a gte motor and an R154 tranee. (along with other parts needed to complete the swap.)

well i finally got my 89 turbo 5-speed harness so now i was able to finish her up. but she wont start :( ...

theres 3 codes after cranking her acouple of times.
code 14
code 24
code 51

keep in mind that all parts is or was in working conditions.

also take note that im using VPC so no AFM.

what do you guys think?

one other thing hers what happends when i crank it.

mostly continues crank... then sometimes it would "try to start" but no luck.

also my body harness has 1 white plug while my 89 turbo harness does NOT.. is this normal?

Code 14 is your IGN signal to your ECU and that could definately make it not start. Its probably your Igniter or coil pack. Make sure the little ground wire is there on the coil pack. Goes from the mounting bracket to the vavle cover, alot of people overlook it. Probably want to double check your CPS as well.

the code 24 is air temp and thats within the AFM, and since you dont have one I dont know how that would work.

The code 51 is your TPS. I would guess that its either bad or improperly adjusted.

Code 24 don't worry about it. Check the voltage to the ECU as described in the TSRM for that code. Check adjustment of TPS as per the section in the TSRM. After those checks let us know.

I assume that you adjusted your CPS correctly and not 180 degrees out.

Can you take a pic of the extra plug you are talking about, where it is located (exactly) and how many pins are on it.

ok ok so it was my CPS thats now letting it start... so i went to jbl's site and corrected it.

now im still getting code 51 and 24

code 51 maybe bc the ac/heater isnt connected.

so im curious about code 24. the car would start for abit... it would idle but just for a bit. BUT it wont rev up past 1000 rpm.

and about the plug... theres 3 plug under the dash that connects to the engine harness correct? the 89 harness didnt have that 1 white plug
