Ive had a rebuilt 62-1 on my vehicle for about 50miles now and im getting 0 psi Boost ??

Engine runs and starts and idles fine so there is no piping off or major leaks its just not getting any boost at all

Ive pulled the turbo off and from what i can see the Compressor and Exhaust blades look fine with none broken and the Turbo spins freely ?

Could it be the part of the bladed broken that you cant see ?
Bearing Seized when it boosts up but fine when spinning by hand ?
Wastegate isnt stuck shut?
Ive Removed BOV altogether ?

Or

Could it actually be something else rather then the Turbo , I didnt think the engine could go into a Limp mode enough not to create boost ?

Well i dropped the exhaust and Elbow to see if the exhaust blades were still intact and they were and i started the car and idled it and turbo spun freely and the wastegate was closed

Is the wastegate something that could have been jamming open when boosting and closing off throttle , also if it was stuck open is it enough to bypass all boost that the guage wont go into + boost

Here are the pics of the exhaust and compressor wheels , Can they be broken where you cant see the Blade inside the housing ?

Well the wastegate was shimmed also , so i guess that adds to it

Also i could hear the turbo spooling at all , which i guess if the wastegate is fully open the turbo would hardly move from idling revs ? Correct ?

I had to drive the car home about 60kms slowly , but i could hardly hear the boost building up or the induction through the Air Pod as i would normally , but then again i eased home without booting it to often

I went out for a run today and boosting fine to 10psi for a few hours and a big long full boost run up a steep climb and i hear a noise for a second or two and nothing no power and no boost.

So babied the car home the 50 or so Kms

Almost a chatter noise for a second or two and i thought instantly the turbo must have seized, but as i said it spins freely

I can see some slight scratching where the compressor blades have at some stage lightly rubbed.

Also when spinning this turbo looking from the compressor side it certainly doesn`t look to spin evenly compared to the stock CT26 i removed.

I come from a land down under
It sounds like it's surged badly on a shift and maybe straightened out the Comp blades and now there's not enough clearance for it to spin freely under boost :(

Possibly bent the shaft.....

(worth checking the BoV)

I think before i go down the path of fitting the turbo back to the engine and checking the wastegate etc i might send the Turbo off to GCG or the likes during the week to have it checked out.

If all returns ok ill start looking down the path of wastegate etc
