I'd bet that first car that spun out while passing was trying to blast past the car he was passing... WOT + 400hp + swerving + damp road = spectacular spin.

I know because I did the exact same thing a few months ago doing 70mph on the highway, unfortunately. I was lucky enough not to have 3 million dollars worth of cars behind me following too closely. I also kept the car spinning in a straight line and out of the guard rails and other non-flat-paved things.
