I need to do this soon, as sometimes my car won't start...jiggle cps wires, BAM! starts...lol. Also, It will sometimes buck slightly while cruising, and under low RPM acceleration...

Where is the write up for this (if there actually is one)?

Ack I didnt see this post when I posted my CPS splice thread...lol. Sounds like Tifanny and Lucy are going through the same thing. My problem was not so much how to do it, but that the wire colors seem to be wrong.

Wow, this thread is really old...I actually resolved this problem a while ago...I attempted to COMPLETELY rewire the CPS (all internal wiring included) and ended up breaking the CPS :(...The pick-up coil cases cracked from age, and the coil went everywhere...sucks.

So I bought Aaron's old CPS that was in much better condition>>although I think I still may need to hardwire it...the contacts are old, and probably not in the best of shape, as I still have a slight bucking.

It did not solve my hot start (failure to hot start that is) problem. Car starts and runs like a raped ape when cold though. :naughty:
