this is my Thinkink about it thread:icon_conf
 well.... it might be coming to the end of my white supra, i have worked on it and loved it for 2 and a half years now. but am struggling to maintain it through school. i would prolly be looking for $9K - $10K, at least Twice much that has been invested. give me some input and feedback about what you think, how does the price seem? high? how much?, however im not necissarily looking for the "dont sell it, you can manage" if sold i will be buying either a stockish MKIII or NA mkIV. it is just hard to maintain a race car, for two, 1 mile trips a day in 20 degree weather.
I would highly consider trading for a clean, properly swaped 1jz car. or IS300... prolly out of range.

ALL engine parts have 4000-5000 miles on them and the turbo was fully rebuilt 500 miles ago. I replaced the Heater core 2 days ago. car is running very strong, and pulls hard on current 15 psi. (ran 20 over the weekend and felt great)

mods include:
-built 7m with weisco 9.1:1 pistons
-shotpeened rods, everything balanced, ALL arp studs, titan 1.4mm headgasket, clevite77 bearings
-shimmed oil pump pushing 50 psi at idle
-custom FFI manifold built my myself, many hours spent and well made, all welds triple checked
- stock fuel rail drilled and welded with -8AN feed and -6AN return
- lucas 550cc injectors, walbro fuel pump, aeromotive AFPR
-Koyo alluminum Radiator
- custom hand built log style exhaust manifold
- Tial 38mm wastegate
- Rotomaster T04B on center turbo (500 miles on brand new internals)
- full 3 inch exhaust no cats, summit racing muffler.
- 32x9x3 Front mount intercooler, SSQV BOV
- spec stage 3 clutch
- Map Ecu for tuning
- Black Dyed interior (all plastics and vinyl) it has been 1 year with NO fading
- Tons of other Crap needed to run and what not, miscellaneas items, etc

I would be angry to see anything other than 500+ Rwhp from this machine.
the car has some minor body damage and i have been quoted 500$ for the whole car a few times.

You have a gorgeous supra there, but I'm sure you have heard that before as we all usually do about our cars....broken down or not. So I guess you would have to ask yourself the following questions, do you enjoy putting money into the car for what you get out of it?, could any other car really compare to how much love one has for their Supra? and finally Would you break down and shed a tear after you sold your Supra? (I know I would if I sold mine). After truthfully answering those questions will you truly be able to decide whether you want to get rid of you Supra. I have only had my Supra for 6 months and I cherish it like some people cherish their brand new Lambo's and Beamer's, and Mercedes that the "rich foke" buy......just something to give some thought to.

sell me the FFIM!!
j/p, but if you dont love how it looks or for w/e reason ....sell it, sounds like you need a DD not a race car.

try to keep it though cuz the car is very nice!

yes i have considered that but it is not really possible for me at the moment, the house in the pics is my parents were i go to work on the car everytime i get a chance, but i live 2 hours away.
i would be very sad if i sold it, but i do realize that it is just a car, and i can get another one.
i am partly considering parting out the engine and going 1j which you all think is a sin but would be a lot more practical for me even in the summer..... i dunno, but i do like your input and thoughts

wa.
im going to be in the same boat as you, im going to move away and leave the supe behind for weekends and holidays. I already bought a DD though, i've never depended entirely on the supra even though it hasnt let me down i always take the thing appart so i always have a 2nd beater ready for daily driving. I started with an $800 temp and just sold and repurchsed over and over till i got the $ for a nicer DD.

And like you said, sometimes you have to step back and say, its just a car, it'll be here, just park the thing and come back when your able.
