Ok before flame suit goes on.

Trying to hook up a additional monitor to my dell laptop Inspiron 1505. Its VGA pulgged it in, monitor is on and i cant get it to show any picture. Halp!

there might be a button to turn on the screen on the keyboard...i think on mine its function (blue/FN) and f10 which has a small picture of a monitor.

Problem solved.

Had to enable the laptop to pick up the second monitor. Windows powerd machines ftw.

dual screen = ftw. on a laptop i cant say i see the reason though... {shrug} congrats you got it working
