Alright, this weekend im picking up one of my extra monitors, and will have a dual monitor setup. I will be using a 19" CRT screen for my primary, and a 15" LCD monitor for my secondary. Here is what i want to happen.

I want to be able to play my DVD's on one screen in full screen, as if it was a TV. Thats easy, but the part im not sure about is:
If i have my dvd's playing on my secondary screen, can i play Counter Strike:Source on the primary screen in full screen, or is that asking much from a GeForce FX 5200 Ultra?

Heres where it gets MORE tricky, i want to be able to have the audio from the movie through my speakers, and the audio through Counter-strike source, come through a USB headset, i have not bought the headset yet, so i can get specific ones if the software included makes a difference.

I have an Creative Audigy Sound Blaster 5.1 with firewire card.

I wouldn't recommend it. It can be done, I would assume, but 1 you are asking a lot out of your video card just for the dual monitor. That sets the temps up a few degrees and puts some stress on the card. Along with that running CS:S on that card is a bit hefty, along with a video playing on the other end. Let alone your processor. About the audio, I have never worked with USB headphones / speakers so it really depends on how they function. I would assume not though on the outputs, since I believe the sound will be given to your sound card as a single entity and from there can not be separated. The USB Headset would not be doing any of the audio processing just receiving the combined audio signal and feeding it into the headphones. Either way I just don't see your machine being to happy with all of that.

If you have / had a dual core processor that would help out a lot

and technically if you had a media center extender for the video portion with Windows Media Server...

but I assume you are not looking to get all that.

if you enjoy playing at 25FPS, sure you can watch the movie on the 2nd screen. and about the 2nd question, i have no clue how you could segregate the sound. i attempted the whole 2x monitor thing while gaming, even though i had aim in the 2nd window, it would still crash when i got a message.

dude, my computer is uber pwnage! lol jk
its out of date, yes but it gets the job done, i dont run many high demand software, in fact, the closest thing i run to CS:Source is CS1.6, everything else is just the boring old crap.

oh yeah, and i could use a dvd player, but i want to be able to play other movie files, non dvd's, etc , from my computer hard drive instead.
