I LOVE cometic gaskets. I have even RE-USED them a second time. Not once have I had a problem. This was at 17 pounds and beating the crap out of the car EVERY SINGLE DAY!

Ebay cometic or actually company ?? Not sure if there is a difference.

Cometic is a brand, e-bay is an online trash and treasure market...

Im not sure of which to use a regular bead type or stopper. Ive seen people make good power with the bead but i see were the stopper is more assurance.
Im not looking for a dyno queen or full drag car, just something to have fun with and. Maybe a 500whp in the long run. With the stoppers price im not sure and i might have to go with the bead.

I had a cometic on a fresh gte blew the first 50miles on the car. There was a flaw in the rivet that held the gasket together so the gasket didnt sit flush on cyl 1&2. Rebuilt the motor with a hks stopper been solid ever since.

If you read the papers that come with the gasket they tell you to check for that. If it isn't Right they send you another one at no cost to you.

I've been running a Cometic HG w/ ARP head studs. 84mm bore, 1.676mm thickness. 57-trim CT-26 @ 10lbs. No problems yet (rebuilt the engine last year). I think the machine work and assembly is what makes a HG blow.
