So I have a 89 7mge NA. Ive been trying to work all the bugs out of this car and theres one code stopping me from breaking free of limp mode. It keeps throwing a code 52 for the knock sensor. I first found that the car did not even have a knock sensor. I purchased one, and installed it, but still i continue to get a code. I discovered that the KS uses the block as a ground, so I cleaned the threaded hole and KS and put conductive grease on both. I also checked for continuity between the threaded hole and ground and there is little resistance. I Still get a code. I then decided to check the circuit. I checked for continuity between KS connector and the pinout that goes into the ecu. again, little to no resistance. and still, I get a code. what could be wrong??? Is it possible that I could get continuity in the circuit but still have a short???
