code 34 boost stutter

so the car is a 89t stock except for there is no exhaust after the downpipe.

code 34 is abnormal boost pressure

the car will not tolerate any kind of boost it immediately stutters
its very hard to get it past 3000rpm at WOT just immediately stutters and flashes code 34

SO FAR I HAVE

sealed all boost leaks
regapped plugs from .31-.28
checked afm it just flashed the correct ohm for a second


MY QUESTIONS ARE

the turbo is shot it has a ton of play and i found oil in the intercooler piping bad seal maybe ?

the intercooler had 3 holes in it so i just bypassed it for the time being.

would the bad turbo or no intercooler cause a code 34 or boost stutter

also when i regapped the plugs and removed the intercooler the problem got way worse the stutter was much harsher

You have a boost leak...time to make a tester so you can pressurize the IC piping.

im gettin a new intercooler and piping but it should work without for a test run...

bypass your intercooler and you intake temps are gonna be a lot higher, more likely to detonate if running her hard. but if you need this thing for daily driving, i would bypass it in a second while waiting for the new, just stay outta the boost, air hets up 3F every psi.

I built the boost leak tester

found a 3in rip in the pipe off of the bottom of the turbo.

problem fixed
