code 31&24 problems

i did a search and found some good info from this thread http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64817&highlight=code+31


so after getting my car running again. it idled fine but when i push the throttle it dies which i know happens.

and i know the 31&24 codes are related to the afm

but what i'm having problems with at first it idled fine then died or i push the throttle and it died but now it won't even start or if it does it bubbles then dies straight away or sounds like its misfiring. i did have a fiddle with the cables around the afm and cps is it safe to say i jolted something in the cps causing a misfire?

if it makes any difference i just re torqued my head down to 108nm.

also getting a code 51 now which could be the throttle position sensor i think?

So you had the head off the car, put it together and it doesn't run right?

nope this problem was just before i did the headgasket re torque i was just on the drive had it idle then pushed the accelarater to move and all of a sudden the rpms dropped i was like hmmm.. and since i needed to retorque the head anyway i thought meh i'll get to that n see if i find anything.

put it back together and still the same problem just with these codes.

51 24 31 although when i got the code 51 the other 2 didnt show up.

you have code 31 and 24 and you still dont know why your car isn't working? that means your afm is tosted or not pluged in well. try another afm and the problem will be solved.
