Im currently clutch shopping and im looking for a clutch thats capable of holding around 450ft/lbs of tq.This will be going on my dd so i want something that will slip. I was looking at the spec stage 4 clutch on horsepowefreaks but it really didnt have a rating for it.Theres not many selections for the w-58, so if you have a suggestion for a clutch setup thats not too harsh and will hold 450ftlbs/tq
Shoot it by me. Thanks

I've got the Spec stage 3, also from Horsepowerfreaks - don't remember right off the torque rating though. It's a 6-puck, and takes some getting used to - but I've had it in my DD for over 41k, and I've been very pleased with it.

Thanks, i havent really been looking at the puck clutches, ive heard there harder engagement is harder on the tranny, and they are less than desirable for dd's.How does yours do in traffic, can you take off gracefully or is it rough.

Pulling out is fine, the hard part is doing it without the clutch squealing :) - usually between 1700-2000 rpms works well for me. I can pull out as low as ~1100 rpms, with the clutch complaining. But, you may want to look at the stage 3+, it's a full-face disc, and I've heard it will hold a little more power than the 6-puck stage 3, without having a heavier pedal.

i'm not in the viscinity of 400+ yet, but i'm pushing a bit over 300rwhp through my w58 with a clutchmasters stage 3 and a fidanza lightweight flywheel. it's great. it holds the power, full face carbon/kevlar disc, the pedal feels like stock.

i love it. however, i'm not sure how much power it's going to hold... i guess i'll find out!

ive got a centerforce dual friction pressure plate with a 6 puck metalic sprung hub disc. it has held up to 18psi on my 57 trim ct26 and 275/50/15 nitto's with a clutch drop at 6k on a drag strip. id say itll hold more then your w58. soon ill put this in my n/a mkii and swap over to an rps 3200lb pp and custom 4 puck metalic sprung hub when i put the t56 in.
