I didn't know where to put this so I'm apologizing ahead of time. since my car is N/A I posted here.:icon_razz

I got a few different things I'm wondering about.

1. For awhile now ever since I had the car, it seems to make a weird sound whenever I let go of the accelerator pedal as if something was swinging and it sounds very squeaky. Problem is I only hear the sound from gears 1>3 and sometimes I hear it when I use the clutch. My brother also said he had the same sound in his mk3 before and he didn't know what it was. It's a W58 clutch.

2. I'm getting a small liquid spot right under the main seal where all the belts are but i haven't directly seen it dripping. Do I need to replace it or does it naturally drip a little bit? Also it is a red liquid so it has to be something to do with the power steering. I'm not sure if those 2 are connected.

3. It's been hot lately and I hate driving in the heat with leather, and I'm not sure if the A/C is broke but the temperature controller(the arrows) won't go lower than 65 degrees. Is my freon busted or is all mk3's like that? and if so any reccomendations on a replacement. I'm going to eventually do some weight reduction in the future so it's going to have to go, perhaps a lighter than normal method can be achieved?

Thanks a Bunch to anybody who can help.

well im not sure about number 1. but number 2 im pretty sure that it is not suppose to be dripping at all i would check you power steering fluid to make sure that that it is not over filled. and number 3. the contoller only goes down to 65 wont go lower. and you need to make sure that your compressor will even cut on at all. it you hear it click then it still works. but sometimes when the freon level gets low it wont cut on at all. also after a period of time without freon the seals in the compressor can also dry up cause it to leak over time. when i got my car a/c didnt workd filled it wil r134a and it still cold till this day. hope some of this helps and hopefully im actually answering something that you asked about.

Thanks. helped out a lot. My car actually looks like your avatar too. I'm still at awe of #1 though. I only hear it at low speeds like 2000rpms or less.
