I cant remember where I read this It was either here or I think the Supra forums. I was reading some write up where it said

The more clip the faster the spool but you'll have less,...something____.... less boost??

The less clip you have you'll slower spool but more____ boost??Please help me fillin the blanks or someone tell me where did I see that write up?

Mods if you gonna move or delete this write up at least tell me whyand not just do it If I'm not understanding something, them help me understand it and not just move or delete something with letting me know give an explaination I was asking about Supraforums web sit but I got deleted,..why????

To answer this question, you get more maximum boost & flow, but slower spool with a clipped turbine.

Because quite honestly, we've got a lot of work to do. When you post for sale items without reading the rules, when you post questions about SupraForums in the Tech section of all places, you waste our time and irritate the shit out of us.

It's bad enough we have to waste time, moving, closing or deleting your posts, but you now want us to take the time to send you a special little note for each time you screw up. Do you really consider yourself that special?

Your post wasn't deleted, it was simply moved to Off-Topic, where it belonged in the 1st place...

EVERYTHING you need to know about using this site is available via the FAQ and posted rules. There are 5,000+ other members here who don't need personal attention and hand holding to get through basic site usage. If your posts vanish, you might want to read the rules and figure it out for yourself as to why your posts get deleted.

Slow down, read the rules and take responsibility for your own behavior instead of whining about ours...

Yep, make sure you read the rules, and any stickies that say stuff like... oh... "READ ME FIRST" :)

In response to your question, clipping reduces the backpressure on the turbo, at a loss of spool response. The thing is, I have never seen a single test done (which I'm still planning to work on doing, if I ever get time :3d_frown: ) that PROVES this. I, personally, subscribe to the school of thought that clipping kills the actual flow through the turbine, reduces effectiveness, and isn't all that it is made out to be.

:) But that's the thought behind clipping.

I don't believe I do, either. I've really got to get back in there and finish that! If I could just quit researching forged 7M bottom ends ;)
