ok here it goes i got to write an 8 page essay on a topic of my choice and i chose the HISTORY OF THE TOYOTA SUPRA. its an easy topic right? just wondering if some of you guys could point me in the right direction on the history of the supra. like for example some sites or any information anyone might have. thanks i really appreciate it. this topic is really better than the topic the teacher tried to give me which was the history of witchcraft. any input will be greatly appreciated as this paper will determine wether or not i pass english or not

it'd actually be easier to write the history of witchcraft since youve got so many books and sites on it. as for the history of the supra, thatll be more fun :D

(Serious... just for a second) Post it up here when you're done. It actually could make for interesting content.

I'm stunned at how much is posted on wikipedia, *someone* has WAY too much free time. It kind of makes you wonder if *he* even owns one. No actual owner of a Supra should have that much time available that's not sucked up by finding that NEXT problem. :naughty: (/Serious)

Back on track... So which is better? Never did get the answer. :biglaugh:

I wrote an english paper over the differences in the mk3 and mk4. I talked to the prof and was able to cite myself on many many things (i.e. I got to cite myself for the info on the bore/stroke ratio because I've seen first hand the differences). I also used many of my own pictures to show specific examples of the differences (head lights, dash, etc.). All in all is was about 13 pages with an appendix :).

Try to get your teacher to let you cite yourself based on the fact that you've experienced/recorded the data first hand. Play your cards right and call it "primary research" and they might let you do it.

I did a paper in college on the MK4, just basic shit, I never had a chance to do the history of the supra, I'd start with the damn 2,000 gt just as an intro since it started it all, it had an M series engine and was an inline 6 rwd and looks vaguely like a mk3 in an old kinda way

thanks a lot guys i was actually gonna do what all of yall said i was going to start with the 2000gt and then move on toe the mk1,2,3,and 4. the paper is actually for my 12 grade english class. i actually havent or wouldnt of thought about citing myself, never really thought about that. i think this will actually be an easy essay since i do have first hand experience on the mk3, that will be the best part about the paper. mk3 ftw.

I could write a textbook based on my first year of MKIII ownership. :(

With as much information as there is available here and in the wiki, along with the advanced specs for the time I suspect the only problem you'll have is keeping the essay short enough and avoiding the feeling that you're leaving too much out.

G/L with it!
